Steve
I thoroughly enjoyed the talk on Dongtan by Dr Kirkpatrick last night, as
well as the chance to meet all the others who, like you and I, are
passionate about saving the planet before energy deprivation and climate
change run away with any possible future that homo sapiens may have on this
planet! I have emailed Dr Kirkpatrick with a view to seeing him here in
London and, hopefully doing some work with him at Arup.
Please advise me of all the other evenings that you have planned, as well as
the best evening for me to give my, perhaps more futuristic, talk. I am
desperate to commence development of these concepts, both to provide
alternatives to our dependence on fossil fuels and to develop bold new
technologies that Britain can use to help power humanity out of the
(Oil)stone and Iron Age that our dependence on archaic technologies
imprisons us in.
Thank you very much!
Yours sincerely
Kim Gyr

Steve and Clare
Im not quite sure who you both are, hence this uncertain email.
I was the person who asked the last question to Neil Fitzpatrick after his
lecture yesterday about monitoring and reporting and evaluation.
I have a lecture 'in the bag' which is a comparision of 34 so-called
sustainable communities, and which I'd be happy to give on the same sort of
basis as Neil's talk. The only thing I ought to say is - it's a little more
sceptical about what we know and what we can deliver. It's not an upbeat
lecture about how we can deliver zero carbon.
If you want to know anything about my credentials you can find information
at www.eclipse-research.co.uk

Sebastian

Subject: Bowller Group Activities
Dear Sir or Madam,
I wish to introduce to you the activities of Bowller Group.
The 'Bowller Group' includes 'Bowller Solar Energy' and 'Tanner & Hall'.
Tanner & Hall is a well-established local roofing contractor and merchant in
Cambridge. Bowller Solar Energy Ltd are available to supply, design and
install solar thermal hot water systems.
We really work hard to include green technologies in most of
our projects; therefore we would offer you our experience and knowledge that
you might need either in our research or in our environmental initiative
projects.
We are on the Clearskies/ Low Carbon Buildings Programme
(the organisations that deal with grant funding for the D.T.I.) list for
accredited thermal installers.
If you would like to see a solar thermal system in action
please visit our Harston office where we will be happy to show you our
system and explain the services we offer in more detail. We could also
provide you with some energy gain estimates.
We would be as well very delighted to come visit you either
to make a presentation or seminar. To provide information about the planning
issues, please call for an appointment on 01223 873640 or alternatively
e-mail solar at bowller.co.uk <mailto:solar at bowller.co.uk>.
Yours faithfully,
