[Committee] about charge

Hi Jiaven,

I agree that we need some way of getting money from people and charging for
talks is a good way of doing so, but I don't think we can charge for this
thursday given that the posters have gone up without a price on - it's not
really fair to expect people to pay without warning them.

However, we could offer the opportunity to join the society at the talk on
thursday with a membership fee, although I would suggest perhaps £4 instead
of 5 as £5 would mean you'd need to go to 5 talks to get your money's worth
which is a lot (to undergrads at least) but anyway we can discuss this on
Monday.

Speak to/see you then,

Nicky

Dear committee members,

Concern our current bank account balance, here is a matter I feel
needing to be discussed on Monday's committee meeting.

Should we charge audience on the coming Thursday's talk? If yes, I
believe it is also the time we need to provide membership of our
society. When people come to the talk, they can either choose to just
pay for this talk or they pay for their membership, which will free
them the future talks in this society. This move distinguishes
members and non-members.

If we would agree with this suggestion, we would need to print out
our membership card and fix the price. I propose £1 for the talk, £5
for one-year membership and £10 for life.

Yours,

Treasurer
