Dear All,
I'm writing about the 'Zero Carbon Events' Google Calendar.
The 'Zero Carbon Events' Google Calendar is our way of ensuring that
we give interested people advanced notice of events that we are
planning, and ensure that our events do not clash with those of other
societies in Cambridge. This is a public calendar which is used on our
website [0].
You will need to sign up to a google account to use the calendar. You
should receive an 'invitation' shortly by seperate email.
I you organise events or hear of any other events (seminars, talks,
protests, meetings) that are related to our interests of climate
change or energy policy, then please add them in to the calendar. In
the calendar, there is a space for details of the event and any links
to relevant websites.
At the same time it would be great if you could send an email out to
calendar at zerocarbonnow.org confirming the event and what you have done.
Here is the keyy for the different types of event:
Zero Carbon Society Major Confirmed Events - capitals, e.g.: BIG EVENT
Zero Carbon Society committee meetings etc - small letters. e.g:
Committee meeting
Zero Carbon Society semi-confirmed events etc with small letters and
brackets if necessary, e.g Big event (venue/speaker tbc)
Other Society events with square brackets e.g.: [XYZ society] Abc talk
Major Talks/Events outside Cambridge e.g.: [London: UVW society] Efg event
Please do add events as soon as you hear of them/ have started to plan
them, avoiding clashes with any (Cambridge events already on the
calendar. If in doubt about scheduling please email
calendar at zerocarbonnow.org .
Thanks very much and best regards,
Steve
P.S. Other Google stuff:
[0] We also have a private calendar 'Zero Carbon' for purely internal
events, but this isn't being used much at present - if it gets revived
Stephen will send out invites.
[1] You can also subscribe to the calendar by copy this link (all one
line) into a webbrowser:

[2] If you would like google mail ('gmail' - basically, instead of
putting messages into folders, you can tag them and then google search
all your emails) please first let me, Jiaven or Anna know and we will
invite you.
