This is provisional only at the moment (see below), but we should get a room
sorted as soon as possible, Tuesday 23rd October, 3pm (till 5pm). I will be
in Cambridge this weekend, but I don't know whether it will be possible for
me to book anything (everyone will be out of office, I guess), so could all
of those currently in Cambridge try to sort out a room as well? We can
always cancel the bookings. I think that we should go for a big-ish room (
50 - 100 people?), pretty centrally, the law faculty rooms are generally for
free for University societies and do have computer facilities (if needed).
Fran, I will get in touch with Shilpah. Could you let me know of the events
that have already been confirmed and when they will take place, as we are
trying to get one of the authors of zerocarbonbritain to come and speak.
>From what I've heard it looks like green week is already pretty packed, and
it might be better to postpone this one talk till a bit later?
I don't know how it looked to people on the outside, but the climate camp
was AMAZING!!!! I hope the momentum won't be lost.
Take care everyone, let me know if you are in Cambridge this weekend,
Marc

Dear Marc,
Colin suggests that Tuesday 23rd October at 3pm would be a good time –
subject to the Business here.
Best wishes,
Tina.

Hi Tina,
that sounds brilliant, let me know as soon as possible, even if you just
have provisional dates, it's easier to cancel room bookings than to get
them.
Best wishes,
Marc

Dear Marc,
Further to my earlier response Colin is very interested in taking up your
invitation, and hopes to be able to give the talk during Environmental Week.
Colin will not know for certain whether this is possible until we get the
timetable for the Queen's Speech. I will be in touch when I have clearer
news.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes,
Tina.

Dear Tina,
I was told to get in contact with Colin Challen by first contacting you, my
apologies if this is not the case.
I am secretary for the Cambridge Zero Carbon Society and we would like to
invite Mr Challen to give a talk at Cambridge University on the APPCCG, its
work and what it tries to achieve. While it would be brilliant to give the
talk during Environmental Week from 22nd - 29th October, I understand that
as an MP Mr Challen will have a full diary, so any weekday after 5pm from
15th October till the end of November will suit us.
I am looking forward to hearing from you,
Kind Regards,
Marc Kaufmann
