*Urgent Alert : Climate Disinformation Meeting this Monday 5th *

* *

*9.15 am to 1.45 pm*

* *

*At the Atrium Restaurant, 4 Millbank,* *London**.*

* *

This is basically a disinformation exercise in response to the IPCC report
(the one that says the rate the planet is warming is even faster than
scientists had previously predicted etc…). It is organised by a Canadian
organisation, the Fraser Institute, an Exxon Funded 'free-market' oriented
 group with a history of supporting climate-denier "scientists" etc….

'Guests' include : Nigel Lawson, Dr. Andrei Illarionov, the advisor who
tried to stop Putin ratifying Kyoto, and Bellamy.

More info on the Fraser Institute and the "report" they are pushing at the
meeting below:

Also check out the Fraser Institute website at www.fraserinstitute.ca

The timetable for the event is:

Media advisory 10.00 am

Registration: 11:45 am
Lunch: 12:15 pm
Presentation: 12:45 pm
Adjournment: 1:45 pm

*If you can, please make it along ! Its important to counter this
disinformation – it may seem laughable but it IS damaging.*

At the moment the plan is for some people to meet at 8.30 am in Westminster
tube station (just outside the ticket gates) …but coming along later would
be cool, too. Basically we have 'booked' a demonstration (its inside the
Parliamentary 'no-demo' zone) from 9.15 to 11.15 am This is in order to
catch the Press people before the Press conference at 10.oo am. There are
supposed to be restrictions on numbers and duration of demonstration. But if
you can come along to help at any stage in the morning (including after the
official demo time ) that would be great ! Best to ring us beforehand, if
possible, on 07903316331 so we can organise most effectively.
