I think it is to cover the costs for CUES-society (or whoever organises
this evetn), or rather increase their income, as I doubt it costs them
anything to book the room etc. What did you mean by transport to London??
The talk itself is in the engineering department in LR 6.
And I agree with Federico not to pay for an Exxon talk.
