Hi,
Yes, photovoltaics are not the best idea - but we should use this
opportunity to suggest the appropriate technology. Solar water heating is
much cheaper and will make a much bigger difference to the building's
energy requirement. There are also ground source heat pumps which may be
useful. Rainwater harvesting may also be possible.
I dont think we should dismiss this opportunity to make a real difference.
The Queen's Green Officer clearly has good intentions and we can work with
that to get the best solution.
Federico and I are going to get involved here. If anyone else is keen that
would be good.
