7 on Monday is fine for me.  

I think the earlier proposed idea of inviting Kim Gyr, Tom Roberts and
Sebastian Macmillan to speak on one day is good because I think if we have
too many different talks on similar subjects this will reduce the popularity
of each one.  If other people agree with this, I will email Kim to ask if he
is happy to share the talk with others, and then the others to invite them.
The obvious issue here is we would have to limit each speak to say 20-25
mins or else it will become excessively long.  As Kim is coming on the 2nd,
I don't think there's time to wait until after monday's meeting to email the
others to invite them so please can people send me their opinions on this by
email?  If the majority agree on having them on one day I will go ahead and
email.

In other news, I've emailed Lianna who is at Corpus to ask her to find out
whether the McCrum lecture theatre is available on mondays, esp the 29th jan
and 12th feb.  

Might be worth discussing at the meeting what our financing plans
are/situation is, including whether we have any budget for room costs and,
if so, what costs we consider acceptable (e.g. can we afford to book Bateman
Auditorium @ £12ph?)

Hey everyone,

I assume most people will be back next week. Shall we get together for a 
meeting on Monday evening? How about 7pm at Kings bar?

I would specifically like to talk about education as we need to get an 
application form off soon for funding in 2 weeks, so we need to get 
everyone's input on this subject.

We also need to talk about publicising the talks for this term - we have 
just 3 weeks to the Blue Sky talk and Plane Stupid talk and so we need to 
get posters together.

Are people available then? Could you also send me ideas of what you would 
like to talk about so that I can set an agenda.
