For your attention and for forwarding to interested individuals:

This is a reminder that there will be a Faraday Institute Research
Seminar on Tuesday 30th October at 1.00pm in the Garden Room, Library
Building, St. Edmund's College, when Prof Mike Hulme will be speaking on
'Three Meanings of Climate Change: presaging Apocalypse, constructing
Babel, lamenting Eden'.  Prof. Hulme is the Founding Director of the
Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research <http://www.tyndall.ac.uk> ,
UK which is headquartered in the School of Environmental Sciences at
University of East Anglia.  His research interests are Climate change,
especially the science/policy interface; the construction and
application of climate change scenarios for impact, adaptation and
integrated assessment; the evaluation of climate models, the development
of global and national observational climate data sets; climate change
and desertification in Africa.

A free light buffet lunch and drinks will be served from 12.30 pm
onwards and a bookstall will also be available.  All are welcome.
