[Committee] Policy regarding advertising cultural exchange to China

Hi Marc,
As far as advertising the the free cultural exchange with free flights.

   - I do think that such cultural exchange is highly beneficial; and,
   although I myself have not flown recently, I feel that one-to-one contact is
   essential to mutual understanding. In particular it is important for
   potential future leaders to meet BOTH to prevent conflict AND to develop
   solutions to pressing global environmental problems.
   - I don't think that non-flying is something we should filter by,
   although we should recommend foresaking non-esential flying. However I've
   taken out the reference to free flights since that is frankly insensitive to
   people in our society.
   - I thought about it before sending to you, rather than being worried
   about what they think!
   - I agree that it has no specific climate related issue - it's just I
   thought it would be better if the trip has more climate-concerned people on
   it.

So I respect your decision either way! :)
