*Energising **Europe**: *

*Climate Change, Energy Security and **Europe**'s Next Big Project, *

Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR), London SW1

This conference will bring together a wide range of stakeholders to discuss
EU action on climate change and energy security, and the often contradictory
needs of these two inextricably linked policy challenges. We look forward to
welcoming Minister of State for the Environment, Phil Woolas, and some 15
plenary speakers including Sir Ken Collins, Prof Andrew Jordan, Pamela
Barnes . There will also be 25 research  papers given in simultaneous panel
sessions  in what promises to be a timely conference.
